Can I use my plan here?

Bowman Dental is out of network with dental insurance plans, which means no insurer has a contract with us setting our fees. It does not necessarily mean your benefits are no good here. Many PPO dental plans include out-of-network benefits.

Your plan determines what it will contribute, and you are responsible for the remaining portion. We'll help you estimate what that difference is likely to be before treatment -not after.

How Dental benefits works

A dental plan
isn't really
insurance.

Medical insurance is designed in part to protect you from very large, unexpected expenses. Dental plans work differently. They're benefit plans — a set annual contribution toward your dental care.

Every plan sets a ceiling for the year, and its own rules underneath it: what it will pay for, how often, and how much. Once you reach the ceiling, the plan stops contributing until the next benefit year begins.

Your plan puts money toward your care. It was never designed to cover all of it. That's true at any office — in network or out.
